RS SA 8000 is developed in 1997 by the leadership of Council on Economic Priorities Accreditations Agency (CEPAAC) including workers organizations, human rights and children rights organizations, academicians and employers for companies which aim to ensure basic rights for their employees.

RS SA 8000 standard approves and certificates that working conditions are compatible with UN Human Rights and Children Rights Acts.

SA 8000 standard gives importance to ethical standards and can easily be applied to all types and sizes of companies which aim to prove that, they perform the social responsibilities in their business activities.

SA 8000 certificates are valid for a three year time period and compatibility with the standard is controlled in every six month.
